The Executive Council administers the affairs of IUVSTA and usually meets twice per year.

Each of these Executive Council Meetings (ECMs) is held in a country to which it has been invited by the local National Vacuum Society.

The second and third (ECM109 and ECM110) in 2010 will be hosted by The Chinese Vacuum Council and will be held in Beijing, China.

The venue of ECM 109 will be Fragrant Hill Empark Hotel (世纪金源香山商旅酒店), Beijing, and will run from Friday 20 to Sunday 22 August inclusive.

ECM109 is followed by the International Vacuum Congress (IVC-18), which will be held at Beijing International Convention Center on 23-27th, August. See http://www.ivc18.com/en/Index.asp

The third meeting (ECM110) will be held on 27th, August at Beijing International Convention Center.

The first ECM meeting (ECM108) in 2010 was hosted by The British Vacuum Council and has been held in the UK on 12-14 February 2010.
